Physical Activity and Exercise in Type 2 Diabetes

This 1 day course aims to empower health care and exercise professionals to confidently enable people with type 2 diabetes to exercise safely and effectively. The course includes background knowledge of type 2 diabetes management, understanding of exercise physiology relating to diabetes and increasing awareness of managing acute episodes and complications affecting exercise prescription.

Please note this course will not provide any details on food and diabetes management apart from, and where necessary, the use of fast acting glucose for the safe prescription of exercise/activity and management of hypoglycaemia.

Dates and Venues :              

**Wednesday 24th February 2021 (am) & Wednesday 3rd March 2021 (am)   Via interactive remote delivery

Please note this course is split  into 2 sessions on the above dates and you will need to participate on both dates

**Thursday 29th April 2021 Via interactive remote delivery
